    Pete, beautifully freaky as ever.

    Yes in the garden, but the hippeastrum is only outside for the summer.

    Thank you Ruth, no 3 is Fabiana imbricata.

    No 4 is Calycanthus occidentalis.

    Hi Melinda, the "octopus sucker" one is the Fabiana, I guess.:D

    The last one is Protea cynaroides, (king protea)

      Pete - you never cease to amaze me with the range of plants that you grow. That Protea is magnificant.

      Simbad -I love those Delphiniums.

      [IMG]
      Just a view - comprising of :-

      [IMG]
      Baptisia Australis - a member of the pea family.

      [IMG]
      Centranthus ruber (Red Valerian). Its as common as muck - but I make no apology. I love it. And it flowers for such a long time.

      [IMG]
      Another common one. Hesperis matronalis (Sweet Rocket). But it always makes a good splash of colour at this time.

            Thanks Simbad. I have grown both the white and red Centranthus from seed. But I noticed a couple of days ago I also have a couple of purple ones. I have never grown those - either a red one has morphed into purple, or more likely it has self seeded.

                  Some really stunning colour folks.:dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb:

                  As Callistemon Salignus fades, out comes Callistemon 'Mauve Mist', one of my favourites.
                  Although dwarfed by Salignus it is over 6ft high and despite the name it is pink!
