      Unknown Iris............

Lysimachia punctata - the new garden has a nice little clump of this, but I've heard that it can be invasive................

Love the small blooms on this next one - Nicotiana langsdorfii..............

Penstemon smallii is a recent purchase and has opened its first flowers just in time to get flattened by the predicted wind and rain! The blooms are small but rather special (in my eyes at least).

The Eucomis bicolor are looking great! They certainly benefitted from being started off in the greenhouse..............

Joolz, I planted three Salvia Hotlips, grown from jumbo plugs and planted in April, they are flowering but only red so far, perhaps some good weather will bring out the white.

A quick look around my patch this week.

On the trellis behind that seat, the Honeysuckle is better than ever this year, the fragrance is simply wonderful.

The Scabious are attracting plenty of bees.

This bed sits in the shade of next door's garage but has filled in well over time.

Well, I spent most of the day in Shropshire today but managed a quick walk around with the camera to record how things are progressing in the borders.....and came up with a surprise or two. I switched off the flash on the camera and took these pics around 9pm tonight in the twilight just to see the difference in light.

                      Rose "Kings Ransome"

One of the ferns by the pond...I just love the intricate design of it.

Paeonie "Bowl of Beauty"......which was not open this morning!

                      Climbing Rose "Masquerade"

Rose "Trumpeter" which my wife and I first saw at Hidcote Gardens and wanted it then and there.

Now this is a surprise. I thought I knew all the Oriental Poppies I had, but this one has flowered and it's the first time I've seen it!!!

Beautiful gardens Trunky and ARMANDII :dbgrtmb:
'Winchester Cathedral' has a gorgeous scent ARMANDII its a sport of 'Mary Rose' and the buds are flecked pink with the occasional pink petal too, the flowers usually open singley like in my picture but last year they all opened together, don't know whether it was something to do with stress brought on by all the dry weather, it was quite a sight as the flowers are quite large, here's a picture from last year
