I'm sorry, but some things just have to be said. Sad to report, but Buff Beauty is a bit of a slattern. Her bits and pieces fall out in all directions and there is nothing you can do to persuade her to keep herself tidy. You'd think a girl who was raised by a vicar would have a bit more sense of decorum. But her flowers are pretty.

That penstemon is really stunning, Strongy. It's my favourite but it doesn't grow well for me, although many other varieties do. :dunno:

Yep, the Trellis Entrance is looking better and better with all the Clematis and Sweetpeas really doing well. There's a mixture of old and young Clematis on both sides and growing really thick so I'm quite pleased with the look and the effect.:hapydancsmil::snork:

As we're getting towards the end of the month I thought I would put a few more up.

ARMANDII, you said you would like some seeds of the white astrantia (no problem)

                P1120772.JPG

but they are now turning pink. Do you still want the seeds when they set?

                P1120971.JPG

                Some aquilegias are still coming

This is an old fashioned, totally thornless, rose with a wonderful scent in the evening

Ooooh , and that perfectly white peony too...

Hi Jenny, yes, they're campanula. We have hundreds of them around the garden - all wild and self-seeded. As with all the self-seeded plants in the garden, they never get taken out unless we need the space. I've even stopped mowing around one of our plum trees because they have seeded themselves there.

The white peony looks quite striking amongst the red ones. :dbgrtmb:

The first picture in 118 (with tiny purple flowers) is less than 1" high. Those are blades of grass poking through. It's a miniature peppermint and very strongly scented. We have it growing in the cracks in the paving in the greenhouse. It only emits its scent when rubbed or trodden on.
