What's Looking Good In June 2013

Just counting in my head think I have 16 bearded iris silu and 5 siberian plus a couple of water iris both yellow but one has a varietgated leaf oh and musn't forget my one ensata , so not as big an obsession as the daylilies , I've grown some from RHS seed this year, siberian and ensata, so in a couple of years hopefully a few more.
Your dark one sounds nice look forward to seeing the picture, being on top of a hill mine do sometimes get a bit bent with the wind, so lower growings good

 

Is it Chiastophyllum Bilbo ? I have one with a variegated leaf (Jim's Pride) almost didn't have!!!had it growing in a pot but last year it got eaten by vine weevil , luckily I managed to re root some of the pieces that fell off when they'd eaten the roots.

 

Biked to a friends house today to help him start off his raised pond. On they way I came across this:





I then arrived and went for a smoke round the back of his house:

Can't be far from me nFrost ...i can see the Bridge.....Anlaby?

 

What a glorious poppy Mr Shiney. Will there be plants available next year please?

A bit of a white theme to start:

Sweet rocket​

Libertia Grandiflora​

Orlaya grandiflora​

But there's still plenty of colour around:

Don't know I'm afraid. It was growing in our previous garden when we moved there in 1985. We took a cutting when we moved here in 2000 and it has been thriving ever since.

 

It certainly looks very similar to ours, Armandii. If it stops raining and it's not windy, I'll go and take a few more pictures of its flowers in different stage of opening for comparison. I'd quite like to learn its proper name. 'Masquerade' sounds nice .
