Mine are doing great but not as many flowers as Wiseowls! Really easy to strike cuttings, now have at least 15 so looking for places to put them all. Typical gardening problem ...feast or famine!

lk I see you also have Primula Vialii in flower too.

 

I was surpised to see it get through the winter as I've never got through the winter before. This garden has a terraced bed near the house that drains well, and it's planted next to the Hellebores which flop to the ground when the weather turns bitter.

 

Thanks! I still can't get a cutting to take of P.pinifolius "Mersea Yellow" though. Just started a few more.............

 

I bought a couple of plants and have taken a few cuttings. Would I be as-well-off just growing a load from seed next year? (Self-saved seed even maybe?)

There are some nice vivid blue Penstemon out there. I have a glut of P.procerus germinating. I saw these two unknown species at OBG a couple of weeks ago.................

 

Oh boo all these lovely photos of Penstemons and I can't grow them (too cold here). Able to enjoy all yours tho! Couple of things looking not bad. The Spirea Snowmound must be about 50 years old and doubt it has ever been pruned, certainly not since we've been here (10 years) but quite happy. I'm going to have to reduce the Rodgerisia as it's decided to swamp a Berberis. The Martagon Lilies are good this year shame no scent tho.
