I used to think the same thing but only because, as you say, they spread so fast given the chance. But there are such great colours and combinations of colours and flower shapes. Which is why probably I've been taking a lot of pictures of them:heehee:

This little beauty was bough on 22 February, the plant no bigger than 4in. It endured a good dose of snow and just before visiting Shiney-land rewarded me with a solitary flower.

                Introducing: Elsa Spath
                Elsa Spathe.jpg

And, another recent purchase: Euphorbia "Ascot Rainbow"

                Euphorbia Ascot Rainbow.jpg

And the first rose of the season (known purely as "Red Rose")

                  And finally :phew: ...

Chives emerging from their "Taj Mahal" look ...

                  Chives.jpg

And, the promise of cream teas ahead ...

                  Strawberry Elan.jpg

And, just when I thought I knew everything in my garden this little beauty (non-edible!) popped up in my "forget-me-not" pot (from Shiney-Land). Not the best picture because it is a bit breezy and it wouldn't keep still

                  Surprise.jpg

Yep, things are beginning to look good :dbgrtmb:

For some reason Heucheras just don't "float my boat".:dunno::scratch::snork: I think it might be that they are "just" foliage plants [with some terrific colours:snork:] and possibly because they are also low growing but I've never been tempted to grow them, and yet I know I'm missing something by not growing them!!:snork:
