Thanks merleworld , love the Yellow Azalea :wub2:.
My addiction should start soon hopefully!!!!:heehee: although they're running a bit late this year with the cold, some buds starting to show at last though so it'll soon be daylily time :hapydancsmil:

""M" Its lovely isn't it  more of a shrub than a tree really, although this must be 7ft tall, its a form of Viburnum Opulus or Guelder Rose called 'Roseum' lovely coloured leaves in autumn too.

Thanks GA it really is lovely this year I've never seen such huge flowers, its a good one too in that it will tolerate shade!!! even better

      Love the poppy Pam :wub2:
I have some real in your face reds starting to open today supposed to be a pinky colour so I planted them with a pink delphinium :hate-shocked:knew I should have seen them flower before planting :doh:especially with them being seed grown, have since read they can revert.

        More aquilegias
This is a self sown one, my favourite, did grow a couple of clematiflora aquilegias years ago so can only assume its a cross from one of them.

And this is one of its babies thats popped up this year

Stipa Gigantea starting to send up flower spikes, Geranium Macrorhizum growing round the bottom.

Syringa Emodi Variegata (lilac) love the leaves on this the disappointment is the scent's definitely not lilac in fact not nice at all :eeew: to me anyway , the flowers will be white, always much later than other lilacs to come into leaf and flower.

Top of hill border, quite pleased with how this is coming on, I had to extend the bed forward and move all the plants spring 2012 as everything was far too near the laurel hedge and couldn't get to cut it :heehee:

I must get me some Aquilegias for next year, especially if they are going to self seed and fill up the front border :wub2:

Inspired from Shineyland, that is precisely what I plan to do too.
I read (somewhere!) recently that now is the right time to cast some seed: logical, as that is what the flower is doing naturally around now. Plus, those that take will have found their own preferred spot: bonus!
So, hunted for a seed packet - I was certain I had some, somewhere? Well, I found them  ... except the "plant by" date is .... 2004 :heehee: I'll liberate them anyway; you never know :dunno:

Simbad the Aquilegias are stunning and so graceful - They really must go on my wish list for another year. I only have one in my garden don't know how it got there - it's pretty but when you see a group of them like yours they are just so lovely.

Just the one photo for now - two of my hostas, don't know the names of either but the one at the back is making an impressively large plant :)

Thanks Armandii, the large one was from our local market last year, costing £1.50 and the one at the front was off freecycle :)

It has opened up fully now. I wish it would spread / multiply a bit more.
