        I went to put the sprinkler on one of the beds and found a few 'stinkies' hiding. They all had their backs to me.

              @Redwing I think you're referring to Acaena - don't know the variety. The things are actually burrs which stick to you and transfer seeds.

                        Your face pulling antics are boring me. Thank goodness for ornamental grasses! There is a grass for every situation - I love them......especially, at the moment that lovely fluffy one with the tangerine rose is gorgeous - can`t remember it`s name now...
