Liberally in lots of things. They add a gentle bitter layer.
So; halve a dozen or so slightly sqidgy cherry toms, add few drops of red wine vinegar, pinch of salt, crack of pepper, a third of a teaspoon of nigella seeds, a splash of good olive oil and sweat down whilst frying gnocchi and cubed chorizo. If it starts to dry out add a spash of water but avoid it being runny when the gnocchi is ready to be folded in. Crumble wensleydale or similar over and serve.

A handful of basmati rice, a teaspoon each of cumin seeds, corriander seeds and nigella seeds, three green cardamon pods, five cloves, a quarter of a cinamon stick and a few strands of saffron makes cock on pilau rice.

One tin of baked bean, a squidge of HP brown sauce, heaped teaspoon of smoked paprika. half a teaspoon of nigella seeds and chillies to taste and you'll have luverly BBQ beans!

Add to any tomato based dish.

My project for this year, to successfully grow Foxtail Lilies for the first time. So this is Eremurus Cleopatra one of11 out of 15 that have grown on. It's not fully mature so if I can get them through the Winter they'll be better next year.

Even after a spate of high winds and heavy showers which knocked of the petals of the Peony it still looks good to me

Nigella is used a lot in Indian cookery and is known as Kalonji.
