        Dracunculus vulgaris
        Dracunculus vulgaris.JPG

        Opened fully overnight.
A lot of my aroids are running late this year, a couple of the Arisaema have aborted the main bud and one suffered from bigfoot disease.
In the greenhouse Amorphophallus konjac are just leafing up, normally they are in leaf late April early May a bit later if they have flowered. Some Lilium nepalensis bulbs I bought in spring time are only just beginning to shoot, whereas a close relative in the garden is in full growth with flower buds.

Is that the tall form from Robin?

Yours looks rather small or is it an illusion beacause of the angle? Mine were a bit on the small side this year.

Yes it is and I must remember to save any seeds.
No mine is rather small compared to others I've seen, but it is always about the same size.

The Lilly has come on nicely. It's particularly remarkable as it stands neglected all winter. There are still several more buds wating to bloom. I'm glad I persevered with it.
