Hahaha "Last Orders Please".....Cheers...there's no better way to enjoy a garden than being sat in the sunshine with a nice glass of red taking in all natures creations.
            Thanks for your kind comments.

Your welcome mate and credit where it's due it looks :wub2:always a pleasure I think to look at members gardens besides your own.

I noticed you replied to Logan...so a message goes direct to a member put @ first then start to type the name and a list will drop down..click on the members name and when you press reply after you've commented it turns blue :)...I wasn't sure if you new or not ;)

                Thanks @Gail_68 .
I'm only a novice gardener but I like to learn and I'm ok with hand and power tools so I like to make things for the garden as well as planting...I do need more colour though...Flowers.
                I love Japanese gardens
Just something I built from a little concrete

@BigC your garden looks great and the lawn is so green. You've done a lot of work on it.

Very nice they're stunning plants and the colours really catch your eye but with DHR's garden it's like a Japanese style in some area's he's done that's why I think you may like it and hopefully when he comes on line he'll add pic's for you :)

                              Hi BigC

                              I'm impressed with your lantern.

Concrete is great for making Japanese lamps.

When I built my koi pool thirty years ago. I wanted a Japanese lantern like this one, at Katsura Villa in Japan, I'd seen in a book.
                              Japanese bridge.JPEG

But those in garden centres at the time looked really naff.

So I made myself a 4ft one out of fine mix concrete with an outer skin of dyed sand and cement to make it look more like stone.

                              P1010721.JPG

                              Then I made another.

                              P1010722.JPG

They both have low voltage lamps in them controlled by switches in our lounge.

                              P1060035.JPG

Then I made a 6ft pagoda. (I cheated, it has wooden balcony rails)

                              P1010723.JPG

This has a lamp behind it, but again controlled by the switches in the lounge

                              Lit Pagoda.JPG

                              Finally I built our tea-house.

                              P1010725.JPG

Again these lights are controlled from the lounge. But it also has a power supply and has ceiling spotlights. I keep a beer fridge in there, (it's on a stand on castors, so can be rolled out onto the verandah), plus a TV and my two vinyl jukeboxes. My wife says they are too big for our small semi.

                              P1060038.JPG

These are recent photos so they've all worn well.

                              Edit

Sorry BigC, posts crossed. So you've probably seen all the above before.
