I came across a pot today that I remembered having a discussion about last summer.

I could plant a cosmos in here for the time being. I'm sure it would go ok.

Following my thread asking for colour inspiration yesterday, I realise we do have some colour, when I stop to notice and look for it. I am looking forward to adding some of the suggestions offered though for some show stoppers full of colour.

My lamium has grown nicely since I planted it. It's quite impressive for half of a plant. The other half is at the other end of this hedge. All being well, by the autumn (or spring) they will be big enough to split again.

I have 2 of these. They are both in flower. I tried to shape them a little bit earlier in the year. I'll have to give them a proper go next time.

I have no idea what this is. It's in my neighbour's garden. The house is currently vacant. I would happily pinch a bit of it if I knew what to do with it. Any thoughts?

It looks like an old Rambler Rose to me.

That's ok Tetters, I'll let you carry on making your mistakes if all I'm going to get is sarcastic comments as a reply.

I just feel that with new gardeners coming on you could at least get names right. I thought you were a former professional?

Well I think the sarcasm was uncalled for.

OK folks, it's warm and sticky, but let's not lose our good humour, eh? Keep it friendly please.

Well despite not being able to give my garden a lot of attention this year, it is looking surprisingly nice. I think it's trying to tell me it doesn't need me!
