All I can say mate is when my cat had a bad road accident the emergency vet at the time must have been totally lying ...I know my cat had to wait till the following day to be seen

I am sorry to hear about your plants...haven't you got neighbours or family who would water them for you while your away ;)

Now mate I do suffer with colour blindness but to make sure is this pure black as it is stunning and that velvet look is such a bonus to the flower and colour :love30:

Hi Gail, it's the closest to black I've ever seen in any flower nothing comes close.
It's called " Black Ray ". I've had it about 3 years now ( grown from cuttings each Autumn ).

I saw them in a local garden centre. They look nice.

@KFF I have never taken cuttings of trailing Petunias before. When and how is it done?

My cat is an oscar winning drama queen. Particularly over being groomed. He used to love being groomed, but for some obscure reason I haven't been able to work out yet, he's decided he no longer likes it. He has a very thick coat and sheds and sheds and sheds everywhere :yikes: :gaah:. Grooming is necessary every few days. There is always theatre and drama involved combined with lots of decibels. When the combing is completed he knows he will get a treat and the theatre and amateur dramatics are forgotten in the blink of an eye.

Rats are also the most incredible drama queens, particularly baby Rats :snorky:

Lucius I could just imagine the screaming...my first cat bobby got washed monthly and the thing resembled a rat until I put the hairdryer on him and he had no choice :heehee:

Hi @kazzawazza , I do them in late September/early October . Treat them as any other half hardy perennial ( yes, they are perennials not annuals ) such as Pelargoniums/Fuchsias or Salvias.

Just take non-flowering shoots abiut 3" long and insert about 3 or 4 around the edge of a 3" pot. Keep them indoors on a sunny windowsill and pot them up seperately in early Spring.
