WHAT'S LOOKING GOOD IN JUNE 2018

@Snorky85 Lovely photos. Our poppies are nowhere near open.

 

I had a quick wander round the garden with the camera (it's never really quick) this evening. Some new plants are starting to flower and some I'm looking forward to later this month, or next, for them to flower.

These are some I'm waiting for. Veronicastrum towards the middle back, Lucifer in front of it and the white Hebe right in the front.


The wild garden down the back has been left for the seeds to set as most of them flower in Spring


But the bee orchids are only just starting to open (a bit blurred - sorry!)


Waiting to burst into colour but still attractive in bud form


Jerusalem Sage trying hard to burst into life. A few bees have been checking them out and they'll appear in their masses in a week or two


These make my eyes go funny. Nodding grasses interspersed with love-in-a-mist


Sysirinchium only opened today


We now have over 100 flowers coming out on our pineapple tree


Slightly moth eaten


Campanula started opening today

 

Two different types of Philadelphus




This thornless rose is self-seeded


and growing out of the driveway


Although the flowers have finished this Choisyia lights up the area

 

I find that the standard type of Philadelphus (second photo) has too sickly a smell but the other one is more delicate.
