I wouldn't say there is much looking good in my garden at the moment. I haven't replenished my patio pots or my hanging baskets. At the moment I can't justify the expense. I usually end up having a binge towards the end of July just in time for my annual birthday bbq. I told myself I would start early this year. Maybe next year I will.

On the plus side, my geranium Rozanne is in flower. As are my orange lilies. My rose bushes are just about ready to open. My achillea is starting to bud. My lobelia queen Victoria is growing nicely.

I'll start taking photos once there is something to see.

      G.

Lovely Japanese anemones @Verdun - mine are yet to flower. Do you plant your hostas in the ground? This year mine are all in pots and mainly uneaten. When they were in the ground they got eaten. I think I've confused the slugs and snails.

Not Japanese anemones Alana.....they are varieties of Wild Swan.
The hostas.....these are in the ground but I also have several in large pots

              My bay tree standard.
I grew it from a small twig of a plant.
              Now it's a monster.

@Verdun do you find the Princess ones long flowering? I know that I have seen Indian Summer flowering for ages, but I had a few eg Sweet Laura that just gave one burst of flower and then looked boring.
@pete - does that gorgeous ginger lily flower as well?

Morning CarolineL, yes it flowers for many weeks. :)
I had quite a few alstroemerias but their tendency to spread was a decisive factor in removing them. Indian Summer is a new one to me .....whereas the Princess Alstromeria is subtle
I think Indian Summer will prob be very brash

Never flowered for me but I believe it has a kind of insignificant flower when it does.
I just keep it as a foliage plant.
Seems to be a winter grower or at least stops growing in full sunlight in summer.

Lovely pictures @lolimac - the ferns looks lush with the alchemilla mollis. Aruncus is on my list to plant in the autumn - stately plant and looks good in an arrangement too.
