0C29B655-B9D0-48FF-A6B5-63CD9358119D.jpeg Got a few perennial heliotropes ...mainly Chatsworth but a nice white too (white Lady) ....in containers by back door, pathways etc. The scent right now is wonderful now that the sun is out. The nick-named “cherry pie” looks good and smells good in June through to autumn:) take cuttings for plants every year:)
This is one of several growing in the garden.....intoxicating scent even though only a few flowers are open

I'm pleased you like it. :dbgrtmb: We forgot to do cuttings for sale this year

Don't be surprised if the leaves get chewed up by bugs. They like turning the leaves into lace :hate-shocked:

Our Rehmannia seeds very easily but the one we have in the greenhouse, in a pot and on capillary matting, propagates like mad with root runs in the matting. We pot up over a dozen each year for our plant sale.

It is, but certainly brightens up the space. It's easily controllable and flowers for a long time. This one flowers for about three months.

@Verdun the sunshine has lightened the picture. The reds are a deeper red and the leaves are darker than they appear in the picture.

I think quite a few of us have Alstroemeria Indian Summer, I have several clumps of it and other tall varieties for cut flower.

Callistemon laevis, the only one I have that flowers again in the autumn.

Grevillea Canberrra Gem, needs cutting back twice a year as it grows so fast and flowers for months, loved by Bees.

I really like that Alstroemeria Indian Summer. Might have to make a purchase...I'm assuming they are ok in containers? I am only thinking of doing containers instead of investing more in the garden.
