Stunning borders as always, @Perki! :love30: I particularly like the allium/pink rose combination, they look lovely with the iris and eryngium, too! Seeing your 'Neptune's Gold' has made me look forward to mine bulking up a bit next year. :)

Yes it's flowering in the greenhouse, I only have one plant.
I figured when you look where it comes from it's going to like a hot spot in summer.
Could be a slow plant to bulk up and consider planting out although I read it grows a woody tap root so dislikes root disturbance.
Watch out for it turning yellow, I get the impression its not keen on alkaline conditions, think that maybe why I lost the other ones.

Ok thanks for you're quick response Pete, I only have two left now and one is certainty looking more healthier than the other.
I will go and move them into the greenhouse now, mind you I will have to set up a reminder to check and water them daily as it's absolutely baking hot in there. Should I leave them in full light or find a shady area?
          Sorry that's another question!!:)

Well not cactus hot, if you get my meaning, but warmer than out side, just to hurry them along, I also get the feeling they need to make some tuberous root before winter otherwise no show next year.

@pete the ones @Upsydaisy and I are growing are Asclepias Tuberosa and at the moment I'm guessing by the look of them, they may be different to yours. I know that Tuberosa doesn't need a lot of heat as a member on another forum is growing them in Michigan...not the hottest of areas.

I've just put my tiddlers outside, still in their pots, so they will have to toughen up or give up.

It's trial and error @Upsydaisy. :) If I'd had more than just the three I'd have left some inside and compared growth. They've got to tackle the climate and my dreadful soil here eventually, so it's survival of the fittest. That's assuming the deer leave them alone, of course.

All the herbaceous perennials I've grown this year will be planted in a new bed. An experiment to see what gets eaten or weather beaten.

Yes very true @Sheal, I thought I had 3 but now realise it's just the two, one is definitely looking stronger than the other one .
However I did repot both today, so perhaps fresh compost might kick start some growing action!:dbgrtmb:

                          Good luck with yours.:fingers crossed:
