          Ooh, that is looking lovely Upsy. It is amazing how quickly things grow there (annually). I thought you were only keeping two of the Lavatera? I never planted the seed I got, maybe later in the year. What is the wood over the gate?

            Hmmm....so did I Vicky but someone obviously loves them so much ;). Some will have to go/ move and a few are going to be drastically chopped. One of the main issues are that they are so fragile with branches snapping off in strong breezes. :sad:

            No idea the wood is just a bit that hubs had laying around . It actually needs replacing but as a privacy panel it earns its keep. :biggrin:

                I've been growing verbena for years and didn't know it was scented :redface: just had a sniff and it does smell lovely.

                    @Upsydaisy to be fair, they open up late afternoon and continue until about lunchtime. They seem to flower a long time.

                        Not noticed the ones here sticking to any particular schedule but maybe the weather being cloudy so often means they don't track the time of day that well. Just started to see this years evening primrose starting to bloom today and caught a couple in a video taken showing some blooms in between the showers.
