That is some of my salvias, and the third pic which is the first time I've seen this flower, is a gloxinia. Never heard of it until I saw a box with a root in it and it was a cheapie!

I love it and have a few (just hot Hot Lips today from Spain in fact). Do you know the name of yours? ... it is ruffly looking. I just put some Double Gloxinia seed from the US in wet paper towel to germinate. I had the doubles some years ago.

These were grown from seeds collected from last year's which were from the year before and go back about 10 years or so. I would call them Heinz 57!

If you dont mind me chipping in, I think no1 is Salvia splendens the bedding Salvia which is tender, they look good Lori.:blue thumb:

The "Gloxinia", looks to me like Incarvillea, the so called hardy Gloxinia which isn't really related to sinningia which is the name for gloxinia :phew:.

Your Gloxinia @CanadianLori is Incarvillea delavayi commonly called the hardy Gloxinia but only the flower is similar to the indoor Gloxinia. There seems to be more colours available now since I grew them many years ago.
