Especially like your 'Princess Diana' Bobj, and pete - there's nothing naff about your banana flower - quite an achievment I think!

Shiney, Bobj and everyone - lovely pictures. Do keep them coming.

Shiney, I think your Allium is A schubertii. Its like Allium christophii on a bad hair day. :D

Here are the next two Callistemon.
    C. Sieberi, small pale brush, not as fluffy as others with small needle like leaves.

Still not identified yet, a short salmon/orange brush with long narrow keeled dark leaves (my avatar).

Wow strongy, I love that first one! Quite different to your others, my favorite!

Here are some pictures form my garden today, Having spent a fair wee while resizing them this afternoon, am not convinced they will appear on this page smaller, so am just going to try cutting and pasting from my album homepage in photobucket.

Having previously mentioned my liking for thistley looking plants, will start with a bunch of them:

Knautia macedonica in bud, and flower, and seedhead.

My white bed is taking shape with something beginning with c, sidalcia, osteospernum, astilbe, foxgloves and ox-eye daisies:

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

[IMG]This rose isn't in the white bed, but it is white! (and apple scented) [IMG]

    Another inherited rose (beautifully perfumed):

[IMG] I let it grow really tall this year! [IMG]

    A couple of allium:

[IMG] spherosephalum (sp) and a wirey haired one with a fabulous pointy hat'! [IMG]

Apples are coming and an orchid from my neighbour (in the wrong place - my white bed!).
    [IMG] [IMG]

Teasel, large leaved invasive monster, delicate little honeysuckle with strong scent and a different honeysudkle in bud.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Ending with a couple of 'hot' favorites:

    Geum and potentilla.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Sorry to be so vague with the names!
