    Pete is that I.australis formerly (acnistus australis) and do you overwinter it outside?
    (love the white one Pete have you seen the red one I. fuchsioides ?

    This is I.cyanea refered to by my good lady.

    Thank you my dear walnut. x Mine is just starting to bloom again but it's very leggy and ungainly looking so I think I need to take drastic action. :eek:

    Lol and Kedi here is the very first Thevetia flower, there are more to come. They (four of them) are kept inside so are growing well.

    Oh and my 3ft high Melaleuca has a 'few' flowers.:D

    Stongy, my little darling ... I am saying 'nada' and I won't repeat what t'other half said because it was rude .....

    And how can you have so many flower on your Melaleuca and I had one on mine aged 3-5ish ??????? I know, my poor clay rock soil and no tending to ...... don't lecture me as I can't change the situation ..... :p

    No I've not seen the red one walnut.
    Yes mine are austalis, I find it pretty hardy, they have been outside a good few years now and tend to self seed very easily although not a problem.

    Yours looks a more choice species.
    Have you heard of calycinum "Vilastas suprise" or coccineum Var. flava?

    And LoL, they are about 8-9ft high, growing through other shrubs/trees which help to support them.
    That way you can look upward into the flowers.

    Is that thevetia flower fully open strongy?

    The melaleuca looks good, the ones I have tried wont survive outside here.

    As it's the first and openned yesterday afternoon I'm not sure whether it will open more, will see tomorrow. I sat under a tree a few times in Kyrenia year before last but can't remember whether the flowers openned more or not,:( but I remember the flowers dropping on me all the time.:D

    Not heard of them Pete, the I.cyanea is hardier than I thought I kept it in the p/tunnel with no heat we had a few -6c but it came back from root level.
    The Melaleuca is looking good Strongy.:thumb:

    Poppy from seed which must have blown in from neighbours garden. 3ft high and I got lots more where that came from ...

    Hi LOL - I had a balloon flower a few years ago, a creamy pink one, but it didn't make it through the winter. Lovely to see yours, I really love their ballooning buds! :)
