Those bottlebrushes are a real picture Strongy. I didn't know that they came in pink as well as red.

I have a couple of pale pink offerings today.

Pete, I have never had any of mine repeat flower, some are advertised as doing so, I think one of the newer varities might (Laevis )and possibly Citrinus Splendens. Viminalis the small tree is known to flower on and off all year in warmer climes but mine will probably not flower again this year although you never know.

Gedi, there are many Bottle brush colours red, pink, green, yellow, purple and salmon/orange and white. I have eight different varieties in the garden and three at work but I am always on the look out for new ones. [IMG]

I've been dodging the showers to take these few shots of some of the things going on in my garden right now. Some simple things which give me a lot of pleasure.

This just reminds me of my early school days when we used to grow them on the class window sill.......

Don't know what this is but the two black blobs in the sky are our resident buzzards on the look out for lunch...... Taken yesterday, hence the blue sky.......

That's it for now as it has started to chuck it down. Got to play indoors........... [IMG]

Strongy, you've got me interested in the bottle brushes, all those colours! I've been googling around to get to see them all.

Nice pics kryssy, I do like that dark red nastursium and the nameless last one.

Then you may have found The Old Walled Garden or it's online outlet Exotic Plants Direct, they have the national collection. Some are not fully hardy.

Hiya Strongy, sorry if I am being rather dense but I don't understand your last comment, or even if you were speaking to me!

Gedi, you said you were looking up Callistemons so if you Googled I thought you may have come across that site. Sorry if my posting was unclear, it's like my brain. :D

Beautiful, Pete, I prefer the N American ones, how tall do they get? We have decided to move in a couple of years and have a bungalow with a real garden, I keep looking at trees and shrubs that I would like to have. This is a likely candidate, although the list could be very long. [IMG]

Beautiful Pete, and the seedling you sent me is growing on nicely. I look forward to seeing its first flowers, though perhaps a good year or so hence.
