I took this Lewisia cutting/division last summer so I kept it in the greenhouse over the winter. It came into bloom today way ahead of the ones outdoors so it's a bit of a cheat really.................

The gardener appeared today. I say appeared because he doesn’t tell you he’s coming. The lawn always looks better after a trim.

The rockery has been tidied up and it’s actually looking pretty good. I was going to do something different there this summer but I’m actually happy to leave it as is. All the plants in there should beef out nicely. I have some left over tulips I was going to make as a temporary display in a bucket. I might just put a few in there.

I think this area is starting to look good. A few more aconites can be added. There is a solitary daffodils clump that could be expanded. Hopefully by that time the rubbish will be taken care of.

Everything else is shooting nicely. Including this:

The plant in the pot is Sedum Autumn Joy. Is that part of it or is that something that’s been transplanted?

Just one solitary daffodil so far, in my little angel memorial bed, and it opened on Mothers Day which makes it even more special.

Tradescantia fluminensis tricolor, being a house plant it should have died in the recent snow and ice but it has survived for a second Winter in the ground.
