He’s actually really friendly. Never ever attacked anyone like some do. But he does like to eat the plants the little tinker.

We had one in our garden for two weeks. He was friendly but was extremely noisy and pooped everywhere. The patio looked a mess! I phoned the RSPCA to find out what could be done about him as he was obviously used to humans, because we could pet him. They said they had been looking for him (and two other peacocks and five ducks) because they had all disappeared when their owner suddenly died. They brought the gardener from the estate that he owned and the peacock seemed pleased to see him. :dbgrtmb:

That is the exact reason I stopped feeding him. I don't mind his noises, but the poop. He was tapping at our back door and pooing all over the patio. And he would roost on the wall and poop down over the edge into our other neighbours garden :heehee:

I stopped feeding him but he still comes and struts his stuff in the front garden. Him and the dogs have a mutual respect for each other. The plus side is (apart from seeing his beauty) is that he now leaves us tail feather presents. I've got a massive collection of the beauties.:)

If you have any spare feathers I'm sure Mrs Shiney would love to have some for her flower arranging when you come over on Open Day. :blue thumb:

Aww. Well the ones I've got are currently on display (I thought they'd make a lovely feature in our living room) but from now on I will save any that he leaves behind especially for Mrs Shiney. He usually starts losing them around the end of the summer :)
