    Just back from our local nursery and they have brunnera available. Unfortunately they have no on line presence - its very much pick it up and hand over cash (no cards).

      @Perki The climber on the fence is winter jasmine. That side of the fence faces away from the sun so I needed a climber that could withstand shade. I actually like the idea of the winter flowers. It will improve the view from the kitchen window on otherwise dreary days.

      @Verdun. Twice now you have mentioned self rooting. If I got this climber to self root could I grow a big enough plant to start again somewhere else next year? It would be great if I could.

        Yep Gary. If you pull down a stem, nick the under side, push into the soil and peg down. Put some mulch on it...it will root during the summer. You can sever the stem, pot on or plant out where you like. Winter jasmine naturally roots anyway :)

            Thanks @CarolineL, that is interesting - I've noticed mine is much whiter than the photos I've googled too, maybe that's why.

                        Oooops! Notification that my state pension is going up, also my mobility allowance, I am waitin to learn of my service pension increase. Wowee! at my 80th birthday. HM Gov are going to pay me an extra.....wait for it!!!! an extra 25p a week. Yippeeeeeee!
