I spied the first of the Snakeshead Fritillary mingling with the Hellebores. Colour coordinating they were too  I know it must be my imagination but they seem to move around each year!! IMG_20220318_154510.jpg

Oh, I like Leucojeum vernum @NigelJ, such delicate flowers. Do they grow from bulbs please?

Nope, not that many there. Maybe they just don't like the soil. Year 5 in the garden, still improving.

@Sheal Yes they grow from bulbs, they are also called snowflakes. There is an autumn flowering species Leucojum aestivum as well.
Apologies for spelling error should be Leucojum

Nobody has asked but in case you were wondering the small plants on top of the soil in the BP pot are Easter Cactus cuttings. Now they are 2 years old I think. I used to have a number of colours but they have sadly died - the blame is mine, probably from overwatering! These cutting I think are the pink form but I have had white & dark red as well as orange!

If I still have them on this computer I may upload some photos to the galley page.

Snowdrop clumps are best split & replanted now, while they are still in the "green".

I've seen it done by the council gardeners here on several occasions & the following years they were very well.

:heehee: Good idea, but we don't really mind as it certainly encourages the wildlife.
