Have those too and like the spotty leaves @Anthony Rogers. I call Joseph's Coat of many colours.

Hi @Fern4, pretty sure Ensign Blue will do fine in shade too. The photo is of a clump of them in a very cold and not that sunny part of the garden, behind a massive Laurel bush so reckon you'd be ok with them in shade. Just can't be too dry.

Lovely Hyacinths @JWK, bet they smell wonderful. Which variety of white are they? I have lots of pink and blue but only a few white and might like to get some more, for the garden, not forcing ones.

They do have a powerful fragrance :) but were full of little black beetles, didn't realise till later in the evening and saw them all on the windows trying to escape.

The white ones I inherited from the previous tenant sorry I don't know what they are.

This is really for Sheal@ as she wanted a pic of the other side of the Observatory base which I've lined with pots to try to soften it's lines.

            Hi Martin, it's a Camellia.
Sorry don't know which one it is. Someone may be able to tell you if you put a piccy up of the flower when it's fully open.

Well can you tell him to fetch it back on the next journey please. :heehee: Oh, and we could do with the extra vessel at the moment to, our sea cat parked itself badly last night and now has a fair bit of it's bow missing.

Good god do I actually have something flowering before you pampered lot down South?:) Haven't the faintest idea why as OK the ones in the photo are in full sun, but have other clumps also flowering and those are in shade. Don't think that all of a sudden it's become hugely milder up here as it ain't! It was a very mild December and January but it's been flaming freezing most of March.
