 I had a few small wallflowers left over after planting my border last year and stuck them in a pot, quite pleased with the result.

A nice view of a small planted area on the edge of our patio; the New Zealand Hellebore in the foreground has been in flower since February, just about finished now (must collect some seed from this one ~ very impressed with it), a pink & white Aquilegia, Ajuga, Forget-me-not, all below one of my favourite shrubs; a Cladrastris sinensis that I grew from seed about 8 years ago..:blue thumb:

A few snaps of the wildish bit of the garden I've reclaimed from being totally overgrown and smothered when I moved in.

              Really lovely :dbgrtmb:

Simbad and Fens, your gardens are at least a couple of weeks in front of ours. :hate-shocked:

Shiny, thanks, yes things are quite early here this year, the clematis are a good few weeks ahead of the usual. Other things are early too Heuchera have been blooming for a couple of weeks and Erigeron look to be close to bloom, very eary I think. Yours blooming a bit later you will have flowers longer into the season!

Simbad, seeing you are a Lincs neighbour are you talking about Seagate Irises? though I think I saw it was still open the last time I drove past it. I've never visited (alas not a big Iris lover, those little wild simple ones are lovely though) but from the road you can see huge stretches of all different sorts. I'll pop by and see if I can get converted.

Simbad and Fens, if you feel like a bit of a drive you might want to come down and join some of the other GC members at our Open Day :dbgrtmb:. We're straight down the A1 and on to the M11. It takes me about 1hr 45mins to Lincoln - driving fast :)

Hi Fens, didn't realise you were in Lincolnshire too :), no not Seagate Irises, not heard of that but I'll certainly be having a google now :loll:, the nursery was called Hall Farm, sold lots of unusual plants, has a really fabulous garden that you can have a wonder round, and a forge, the owners lovely, they're retiring age now and wanted to devote more time to the garden, which they still open for charity and with their house being attached to the nursery couldn't find anyone suitable to run it for them, shame I loved going there they were always so helpful, here's a link to the garden

I'd love to come to your open day Shiney but I've just had 2 weekends away at Harrogate and Malvern, I don't drive so my lovely hubby took me:biggrin:, I know I know spoiled to death :loll:, he's working now for the next 4 or 5 weekends.
