                Good old Shiney's alluding to my only double-flowered tulip here, but I'll take the blow with dignity (as I'm getting older today)! ;):biggrin:

                Longk, I'll try to find such saxifraga in Bulgaria, it's inspiring!

                Thank you Angelina. It is so nice to share this miracle of growth with like minded people here on GC. We don't just walk on by , we look at things more closely and get a certain "feel good buzz" don't we? I love seeing all of your great piccies,
                thank you,

                I wish I could write like Robert Browning!

                May is so beautiful:
                Orchards are fair;
                Branches of fruit trees
                Make gardens of air.

                Flowers of fragrance
                Bloom in the light;
                Fall like the snowflakes
                Showering white.

                Orchards of heaven
                Grow with a grace,
                And like a blessing
                Perfume the place.
                Helen Maring

                The borders have, suddenly, started to fill in nicely.

                Unfortunately, the deer ate the heads off most of our tulips! A few survived.

                  Our Exochorda is only just starting to open. Yesterday we went to visit some open gardens a couple of miles away and their Exochorda were in full bloom!

                  Tree peonies are coming along now.
                  This one doesn't usually open until June

                  But this one is usually finished by now

                  As you may have noticed - cowslips, and their relatives, seed themselves everywhere in our garden.
                  This lot only appeared amongst this grass this year
