A few things are giving Springlike colour:
New epimedium leaves and the Buddelia that I culled in February is sprouting new leaves.
        Spring 028.JPG

Front north facing border with wallflowers starting to colour up. The window box with all those huge blousy fuchsias have survived their transplant fron the mini GH
Lawn sad with Winter damage - it will get better later on though.

And just to show the namby pambies that its good to glow - the first Welsh poppy!!

And some leaves , equally interesting in their own way,

And that lime green glow of Geranium Ann Folkard. Later, she will ramble all though that piece of border with her bright magenta flowers. She is my favourite cranesbill.

              Thank you Jenny and Simbad.

Our enkianthus is a bit odd. We had ours at least 18 years ago. It was growing in a large pot for about 2 years. Then we went abroad for 2.5 years, but before we went we took it out of the pot and planted it in the ground in the hope that it would look after itself better. When we returned, to our surprise it hadn't grown at all and looked very unhappy and sad :cry3: . So we dug it out and put it back in the large pot it was in before (which also enabled us to bring it with us when we moved house shortly afterwards). Guess what? It just took off, and has been flowering every year since  .

Because it is grown in a pot, it doesn't put up lots of growth, we also restrict it by cutting it back a little when needed, so it has stayed, for the past 15 years, at 1.5 meter high. We do water it regularly, and feed it every now and then, sometimes just multi-purpose feed, sometimes ericacious feed. On the whole it is a very easy going plant and, in addition to the spring flowers, it has nice colour in the autumn. Highly recommended. :dbgrtmb:

Very nice pics, HsuH, your Irises are well ahead of mine, and looking at the background of the pics your garden looks well stocked!:snork:

Lovely pictures everyone, so pleasing to see. It's a shame my garden is still pretty much in it's winter form, probably due to the heavy snow we had at Easter.

I love Rhododendrons, MW, but my garden soil is sandy neutral leaning towards alkaline so they won't grow here:cry3: . But one or two specimens in the borders would be good. I've tried growing them in pots but never to any great success:gaah::snork:
