Consider it done! Want some Snakeshead Fritillary seed too?

Nectaroscordum siculum is going great guns and super tall this year................

    Yellow Daylily...................

    Asphodeline lutea...................

    Camassia.................

    Iris japonica continues to delight...............

    Wisteria close up..................

Finally, having put my Bomarea edulis/hirtella in the ground it is thriving and looks as if it will produce far large clusters of flowers now................

Some truly lovely plants being shown. Just love the Lilac Merleworld and that Camassia Longk is 10 times nicer than my variety, slight greening about the gills is occuring here:rolleyespink:.

Of the two clumps that I have, the one in more sun does the best and certainly has the better colour.

Let's put it this way - the seed that I collected I sowed last autumn in a coldframe and it germinated this spring. The seed that fell germinated this spring. So I reckon stratification is the key.
I doubt that they would grow much over the summer anyway.

OK, no rush then :) Thought I might try to save-a-season (not that I have much else on of course!!)

                    Hi everyone,
Lovely to see you again inspired with your gardens. I've bookmarked several posts to revisit and ask for plant names. Some pics from me so far...

Tulips 'Yellow Spring Green' and fern
                    [IMG]

More of the 'yellow' series, although it was a surprise having them all bloom together: tulips, cytisus scoparius, a nearby alyssum, a newly planted yellow magnolia and a baby kerria japonica... They can't come into the picture, but they amount to an impressive surrounding. ;)

Some foliage... I keep comforting myself that, yes, I have the varietal names of all the heuchera/heucherella/tiarella plants listed somewhere, in the order files, as the name tags didn't last long... :D
I'm just as helpless about the hostas.:dunno:

Anyway, in addition to those, what makes the mess here is also some bergenia and white filipendula, which I thought I had uprooted, but obviously not.

More of the same... with some never-flowering variegated Rhododendron ponticum in the centre and Hakonechloa macra 'Aureola' at the base.

And the last bit... featuring the first blooming season of my 'Jack Frost' brunnera, some Ajuga reptans, another poorly performing rhodo and some red astilbe. The loose grass-like blades at the front are just crocus leaves.
                      And some strawberries. :heehee:

A few bits and pieces. The Tulips cost buttons from Lidls. The Meconopsis is the 1st to start flowering and my favourite of all plants. The Poppy is so lovely be it only for a few days. Somebody told me I shouldn't put horse manure anywhere near my Tree Peonies...hmm all my Tree Peonies look amazingly healthy and the white and dark pink variety in the photo has 12 buds on it. The flower that is out is as big as a dinner plate. Mine seem to do VERY well on mare's best! CIMG3525.JPG CIMG3531.JPG CIMG3529.JPG CIMG3532.JPG CIMG3540.JPG CIMG3543.JPG

If I'm being honest, these are becoming a bit of a weed here now. Thankfully I've palmed a few off on my parents once they're over.
