My dwarf Mock Orange "Manteau d'Hermine" is just starting to flower. It's another shrub who's sweet scent you can smell yards away:hapydancsmil:

One of my new Perennial Poppies "Picotee" which is about to burst it's buds......I love the anticipation of waiting to see it fully out in flower.

I don't like bare patches of soil in the garden so the area beside the Green House path is always full.

What a lovely day again. Nice dog walk this morning then clean up a path way n sewed some lettuce & red spring onions in a small border. Not your average place. But we will see. My first attempt so nothing to loose

A few more from the Trunky patch today.

The herbaceous border is really coming into its own now.

The area between the Observatory and the West fence is filling out and the 30 year old Budleja is growing on nicely.
The biiennial Sweet William in the large low pots at the foot of the Observatory is just starting to flower. The Bamboo behind them was rescued from an old Industrial site that was being cleared and about to be bulldozed into oblivion. I split the original clump and there are two identical pots with it in.

The front plant is Rose "Generous Gardener which doesn't seem to mind my sandy soil, while hidden away to your left behind the Clematis is Rose "Kings Ransom" which prefers clay soil but has managed over 30 years to keep flowering.

There are pots all around the base of the Observatory in order to soften it's stark white presence, and it does work to a degree.
The Stone Bench needs a clean and I need to arrange things around it to be able to sit on it. Behind the Stone Bench are Ferns, Hellebores, and a Acer Brilliantissimum which has Clematis "Armandii" dripping and hanging through it......and it needs a trim!!
I still have to find a place for these.
