We thought they weren't hardy :noidea:. They creep all over the greenhouse and we must have a dozen or more. :hate-shocked: :)

They are hardy if kept away from winter wet. Mine are protected overhead by large evergreen trees.

Thanks! I reckoned that must be the one (5 & 6).....ah the Dennys...it's all coming back to me :)
Thorncroft, Taylors, Evison...I used to favour C. Montana 'Tetrarose' because of the perfume but now I've got the space, I reckon 'Broughton Star' will find a home somewhere :)

Hi @noisette47, I was lucky enough to meet Vince and Sylvia Denny at there house/nursery, what a lovely couple, I came away with loads of seedlings and cuttings.
I have quite a few new ones for this year, I recently got Clematis 'Carol Klein' due for public launch at Tatton show.

Three of the clematis I bought last year from Morrisons (£1.79) all showing off (can't find the book where I wrote their names in, so can't tell you which varieties they are).

Chives are ready to burst into flower.

The bigger the pot, the larger they grow. These were planted in a small metal herb planter

... but these were transplanted into a taller, larger tub:
