I had forgotten about my Camassia @longk , thanks for the reminder:thumbsup:. Mine won't be flowering yet I doubt but will go and see. Like it very much but it doesn't seem to flower here for ages. Does yours last a while? Mine is on a slope to ensure good winter drainage but that of course equals dry in the summer if, as at the moment we have had no rain for weeks. Mine also is perhaps a bit lighter blue. Maybe there are different strains? I also have a whishy washy white which I bought (seemed a good idea at the time!) fromDumfries House Prince Charles "rescued" Dumfries house for the nation. The Chippendale furniture is to die for including 1 unique piece which is worth well over £1,000,000.:rolleyespink: A fortune has been spent on the garden and garden centre type thing...hmmm not to my taste a bit too "Peter Pan and Wendy" for my liking. but maybe age will improve things.

If you want some, I'll bring a few to Shiney's, was wondering what to bring along as I dont have much of any size at the moment, in the way of plants of interest.

Camassia are one of my favourites. Their bloom period is short but they are reliable. The biggest downside is the scrappy foliage but as the bed matures and fills this is less of an issue.
There are a couple of species and sub species in popular cultivation along with a handful of varieties. In their natural habitat they grow in moist ground, and frequently in boggy ground.
There is always a home here for unloved plants :heehee:

I have a few of those as well

Ever the master of understatement! A few cacti blooming rather well I would say :dbgrtmb:

It has been a spectacularly good year for them around here too.
