Thank you Upsy and Loofah. It is lovely and a shame I can't have them. Sigh! I like the flower under it too.

That's another good one. It starts out a dark red then blooms into a peachy colour. I get to watch it while doing the washing up!

I have Pelargoniums, Geraniums, as well as Petunias flowering on the balcony. There are also Lobelia & Calibrachoas in the hanging baskets with Begonias that will flower during the coming months.

There are more seedlings & cuttings than I will ever be able to use!

My red valerian is really blooming now, and much used by various solitary bees. It's vey useful in my garden at a time when zinnia, cosmos etc, have yet to flower.

I had that in Bucks and it grew wild around Ventnor IoW. I haven't got room to try it here.

It would be really interesting to know what types of plants you have in your garden, @Victoria

It certainly is a prolific self-seeder...! It suits my eclectic mix, though.

My favouites are Brugmansias and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. I have Oleander, Bougainvilla, Callistemon viminalis, Melaleuca, Mandevilla, Tecoma stans, Tecomaria ....... mostly drought- resistant plants.

The local council gardeners planted some in the flowerbed in the gardens of our block of flats. They are also flowering at the moment.

There are lots of gardens near the centre of town that have these growing like weeds, albeit, lovely weeds! :roflol:

They self-seed everywhere & there are lots of then flowering in the edges of the gardens where they meet the street. There are also a couple of gardens that have little else in them! :rolleyespink:

I've just noticed that one of our Oleanders has just started to show its flowers. I'll try and take a photo when it's light enough - if I remember :rolleyespink:
