Gorgeous iris (irises?) @noisette47 . I remember when our dear armandii was trying to decide which ones to get! I love the orange and white one. Some are scented - are yours?

The nearer they are to the species, the better the perfume, @CarolineL :) I've got a clear yellow that came from Coton Manor Garden originally that smells wonderful, and a very ordinary-looking pale blue that scents the border. It bugs me that I no longer have the name of the species of the yellow one. It stands wetter soil than most iris germanica, but it's not pseudocorus .

I have about 2000 tulips in bloom and here’s one lot. One of our beloved cats passed away last Monday so he is buried by his favourite sleeper seat and has some tulips. IMG_1586.jpeg

It's always a bit upsetting when one of our pets dies. We used to have 5 little dogs & they all died within the same year! The youngest one was the first! Four of them had been under veterinary treatment for a number of years but sadly they didn't live for many years after being diagnosed with heart problems. The only one who didn't die of his heart had a brain problem & had terrible fits. For a couple of years he walked around in a kind of daze & couldn't do practically anything fort himself.

How sad @Balc, losing all 5 in a year. Sure they had the best life they could with you though. Our cat was a rescue as are all our animals. He has his tulips which will be replaced with dahlias and cosmos next.

Your Iris sibirica is way ahead of ours. The buds are just showing on ours and I think it is due to lack of rain. Maybe the promised rain this week will get them going.
