      Anyone for Lilacs? We have seven or eight that are well over 50 years old but still doing well.

            A few of our Hebes (think we may have over a dozen different ones). A couple died this winter.

                      I guess that with just another week of sunshine (what's that? :heehee:) the garden will become colourful. Just in time for our cancelled open garden. :doh:

                      We hacked this back in the Spring (wrong time to do it but had reached 8ft tall) and didn't think it would flower this year

                      The big Rowan tree has just started flowering

                      The pale pink Clematis montana has just opened and the dark pink one that grows through it tends to flower a week or two later

                            I think it's liliflora nigra.

                            That's the one that sits under our willow tree. I don't know whether the shelter from the tree changes the flowering time.

                              This May has been really strange weather wise after a very dry April, its been so cold and wet, but I've been grateful to get out into the garden between downpours and its lovely to see things continuing to bloom and flourish regardless of the weather.
