Beautiful everyone ... I can't post anything because we're going through a lull here so it's nice seeing everything there, thank you. :)

Just love that Clematis 'James Mason' bobj .... and yes, I've always been a Comic Sans fan, even with my e-mails. ;) Typically Portuguese skies are bluer than that other than today when it drizzled half the day!

Keep the flowers coming so I can drool .. thank you.

Pete, I've just seen a couple of Clianthus P in the GC next to where I work . A tenner, 3ft high, 3 litre pot and in flower. Temptation WILL get the better of me tomorrow. Plus they had a Vriesia Carinata just in flower hidden amongst a new batch of house plants for £1.50! so I will definitely have that as well.

    Sounds like a bargain strongy.

I had a phone call in the week, my local nursery has Embothium coccineum in stock, something I have been struggling to grow for years, so will be round there in the morning to get one.:)

Likewise with the Embothrium, never kept them going.

Bob, I had Indigofera outside my house in Havant years ago, don't see it much these days, an underated shrub.

Pete, I got the Clianthus but the Vreisia Carinata had gone.:(
The Clianthus was a cultivar called Flamingo and seems to be a pinky red rather than the bright red of the main species. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Lovely bob! Doesn't get much better than great veining on an iris! Love your blue corner too! I have a pink corner - with loads of aqualeiga. Took me ages to get rid of the blue - iif I'd known, I'd have sent them to you!

Is it blue throughout the year?

This is the BBQ corner, just out of it's winter quarters, this morning.
All damp and grey, but I had some new Panorama maker software to play with :)

A fantastic tropical look to the BBQ area Nik.:thumb:
Just curious, under the Bamboo it looks like a variegated Billbergia Nutans in flower, is it and if it is does it stay outside?

Strongylodon, yes it is. It overwinters in a greenhouse kept to a min temp of 4°C. The rest were just out of winter quarters and looking a bit chlorotic and tatty. But some sun and feed will soon do the trick. The Cannas and Hedychiums will soon follow.
