@Sheal You're right, the third and fourth photos are both Knautias. No particular variety as far as I'm aware, a pink one simply appeared in the herbaceous bed a few years ago, I liked the look of it, so I let it seed itself and now I get them coming back every year in various shades of pink and red. :)

Not sure, but it looks a bit like White Comfrey. Does it have quite rough hairy leaves?

The beginning of summer, turtle doves have been purring for some while and the first flower heads are opening on Pennisetum orientale Karley Rose

A few bits and pieces which are looking ok despite the flaming howling gale that has been hanging about for days! I think the Rose is Fruhlings Gold, only flowers once but so worth growing, easy and doesn't need pruning/spraying/ cossetting! My Meconopsis have suffered with the wind but a few are keeping their petals on.
Pity I can't include the scent of the Pheasant Eye Daffodils along with the photo, gorgeous. They extend the Daffodil season by at least 3 weeks. All the rest of mine are well over. I will be lifting some when they die down and don't have anywhere really to replant....ok I just can't bare to plant more Daffodils I have planted 1000s. If anybody would like some I'd be happy to send them FOC to you. All I'd ask would be for the postage. Pleae PM me if you'd like a few/lot!
