WHATS LOOKING GOOD IN NOVEMBER

I envy you Verdun. Cold, wet and windy here . Think I'll move to Cornwall. I've never visited but believe parts of it are quite stunning.

Wasnt expecting my 4p pot of Violas to have survived us going away for two weeks but luckily I had stood the pot in one of my borders where there was a patch of bare earth and was South facing and as we had some rain here while we were away they have survived a frost

Other stuff in flower or berry at the moment.Need to get some photos though of my Freckles winter clematis,and Gertrude Jekyll rose in the back garden

Yes @Verdun I think winter Jasmine is a very underrated plant. My mum planted a tree or shrub in her garden as each one of us was born and mine was Jasmine Nudiflorum which I enjoyed seeing in flower each Autumn.When myself and Mr Kandy got married 37 years ago we took home with us a rooted plant and stuck it in the garden of our first home and when we moved here 16 years ago we did the same and so have kept it going all these years.We have another rooted cutting in another part of the front garden and they seem to like rooting where the stems touch the ground.

Need to get one planted in the back garden but our problem is lack of all space to put it on

 

Bees have been buzzing round this since before dawn

 

The sky was blood red here early in the morning on the 9th....made the garden glow for a while.
