@wiseowl, We have a climber up the back garden which as extended into the tree's and come autumn it turns those colours on the plant you've added, red/burgundy and it's started showing like a purple look, it's a shame when the leaves come off for winter though, as the colours are out standing.
If it's the neighbours or not leave well alone as the colours look great  and if the neighbours try pulling it back...give a good fight for it mate:whistle:

@wiseowl, Afternoon wiseowl, is it a plant you could possibly climb up your fencing...our next door neighbour as a climber that spreads rapid and it's growing on the top of my hubbies shed and in the winter if flowers like white daisies :)

Yes, hard wood cuttings WO :)
Good thinking Gail :).....I have the benefit of a superb blue wisteria here. My neighbour's plant really so no need for me to take cuttings etc., but using the landscape or neighbours' plantings to embrace our own is always good I think :)

@Verdun, I have had to cut it back a view times though because it's trying to rap itself around the parasol pole but I was shocked when the neighbour went to it early this year and was totally ripping it out but it's fully recovered and going great again.

If your neighbours plant looks nice on yours and can't over take your own plants...then leave alone I always think.:)

Yes indeed, esp an expensive wisteria. :)

What a cheek your neighbour ripping out your plant...beggars belief:)
Once caught people ripping out plants on my front wall.......I charged them well over the odds but maybe taught them a lesson :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
