WHATS LOOKING GOOD IN NOVEMBER

        This little one has impressed me. Primula noverna blue. I looked at them in the summer. By the time I committed myself to buying one they had been phased out. A few weeks later this little beauty popped up on the sale table. It had seen better days and there was no flower or stem. I was expecting to wait until the spring to see what I had bought. It was chosen to complement the purple and white Alliums I have planted around it.

        I read up again on it recently. It likes moist soil. Maybe the conditions now are better for it than they will be in the summer. If it does survive I would happy plant more.

        It is also supposedly short lived. What does that mean in practice? Its not worth investing in a bed of something that isn't going to last.
