Just love all the wonderful and colourful flowers and plants in everyones gardens. Unusual ones too, like Peter's Lepechinia hastata, Redstar's Callicarpa and tasty ones like Robert's strawberries, mmhhh!
Linda, am sure you will agree that it was worth the wait for your Cup & Saucers to bloom as they are so pretty.

Great pics everyone, I wish the garden could go on forever with all the colour that it gives makes you feel a lot better than the dreary winter never mind I have been putting Forget-Me-Nots in and some winter baskets making up

Lovely Nathan. Our gardens are looking really good quite late into the year. My geraniums are looking lovely and so are the petunias!

Kedi - which Datura is that? - its absolutely beautiful.

I had some of Walnut's seed, and grew Daturas for the first time this year. They are very rewarding for their rate of growth. And I like the seed pods almost as much as the flowers.

Thanks, Peter, but I have no idea what sort it is, (I'm like your neighbour, no idea of the proper names :D )

It is in the garden here and there are about three of them.

Sis used to have a very similar one a few years ago but it was only about half the height of these ones, which are over knee-high. Perhaps she has a name for them?

I doubt if it will set seeds before we leave, but I'll try to get a bit of root for you and then send it from home.

Nathan, just love your Passion Flower, looks like the one we used to have in our Wintergarten. Do you have it inside too? Ours went beserk and popped up everywhere, so, as lovely as it was, we had to get rid of it - or are still trying, too.

However, by those wonderful red leaves, I think yours might be outside in the garden.

    Whatever, lovely pics! :gnthb:

What a marvellous show, Shiney! :gnthb: So many different things and all sorts of colours, it must be a joy to walk around and look at them all.

We have the Pokeweed at home as well, wild but always a pretty addition. Nice lot of the Chinese Lanterns there and they make a colourful indoor decoration in the autumn and winter.

    Thanks for sharing.

    :) Lovely blooms everyone!

Sis (and PeterS), I don't know what you have as there are so many different names ... and they don't come 'named' here! I think the current one I have is 'possibly' Blackcurrant Swirl but it is very pale to yours, Sis. I've looked around today and yours could be, but only could be Purple Queen because it seems yours has the centre piece all dark purple.

Here is my current one ....

.... and these past weeks the purple is more pronounced.

Peter, I see you have tried these this year. I have seeds from this one and did not post your envelope today as I didn't go to town so I can pop some in for you if you'd like. :)

Shiney - lovely photos. Its amazing how much colour there is still in people's gardens.

That would be brilliant Vicky - thank you. Yes I had never tried Datura or Brugmansia before. They are very rewarding for their speed of growth. Both reached 6 foot in their first year - and I am looking forward to what Brugmansia can do in a second year. I also liked Nicandra (Shoo-Fly, a close relative), which reached 6 foot as well. I will have plenty of seed for that later on, for members, when I get myself organised.
