Thanks for the tip - a little more than frost free required then.

So exciting to browse these monthly reviews of colour!
I'm sentimental for cannas, as they were profusely planted in my home town, in the North-West of Bulgaria. The streets of my childhood were full of them...
hopefully, my gaura, the heucheras, and tiarellas will be just as lushy next season...
Fell in love with that alstromeria, longk!

Now a couple of shots from me...
(I'm writing from my new mobile and I'm really striving to come to terms with
the 'full function' QWERTY keyboard, handling multiple tabs in the browser, pasting
            image URLs, etc. )

A light purplish rose, which suprised me by its height and large thickly shaped flowers this year. I bought it
last spring. Looks really stunning in the morning light.

And mina lobata - a climber I have for the first season, but seeds will probably not have enough
time to ripen... I started it too late.

              Lovely pictures, everyone.

We don't have a great deal of colour left in the garden apart from the large range of different coloured foliage.

Angelina, we've never managed to get viable seeds from mina lobata when we have grown it.

I wonder if it's a question of pollinators? On a very large vine I grew a few years ago I collected four or five viable seeds.

Well, there's still plants with colour around the garden that stand out in the Autumn change.

Thanks, Jenny, I did forget this fella though who has done really well this year apart from spreading out a lot. It's quite a stately plant and does have "presence":heehee:
