Thanks Pal for the info. Yes Roders, no 4 looks like a weed to me too.

Hi Waco - nice to see you (if seeing is the right word :D). The Aster certainly looks like A. fricatii, but mine are quite blue. If the pink colour is correct it might not be. Are you sowing any seeds this year? - you used to do loads!

Nice Fuschias Nathan and JJordie. Now is a good time to take cuttings of tender perennials. I have just started.

Well my dahlisa are already frosted and finished. I have been very lazy with the garden this year, not least because of the weather, BUT the garden has been a continual succession of colour. all the damp shade plants have enjoyed the cool wet summer and paid me back. Just hope I can remember how to post the pictures!

don't know, I think they just clump up, but they have loved the damp summer.

Oh and Roders, Love the nerines - they are another "Clumper" my neigbour has just dug a load of them out and I dread to think what she has done with them, she has also cut the most fantastic wisteria down that must be at least 100 years old. All these TPO's we have on damned sycamores but she is alowed to cut a wisteria down of that age!!!

AND off topic I know, but it reminds me of all the health and safety issues, you can't cut a sycamore down that self seeds in the hundreds. Health and safety have all these rules and regulateions, but non about piano stools and I nearly broke my neck today falling off one with wankey leggs!!!

Oh this is all too much for me, and its way past G& T time, if I can do it I must try to post my cimicifugia.

How many years does it take to get a show like that? I planted a packet of 3 last year all I got was one miserable looking specimen! I also planted a packet of Marigolds for next year, they have been magnificent was going to take a photo but had a fence erected bloke trod on em....Ah well my sweet peas are well up from seeds that dropped of this years flowering plants, you can win some times !
