I haven't seen any, no bees or hoverflies. Since it needs smoke or fire for the seeds to germinate, there aren't any little ones.:)

LongK - that Bessera is a nice plant. Bulbs don't often flower for long but my Bessera seems to have been flowering for ages - and outside.

It surprises me how long it will go on for too.
Eucomis and Galtonia are two others that spring to mind............

Aconitum (carmichaelii I think, as it's always late).................

      DSC_3295.jpg

I should have put tags in the pots when I moved them from my old house.

Also in bloom is this Primula vialii, which was a rescue from the bargain bin earlier this year.................

It's a new one to me too. When I bought it the plant had already flowered and was looking rather sad, but for 50p I took a punt. But it seems very late for one of these to be blooming from what I've read.

My pride and joy: the lisianthuses are flowering. Hope I can harvest seed from these.

Solanum rantonnetii has masses of tiny flowers.

Gloriosa rothschildiana. Finally succeded after a failure last year.

Fuchsia boliveana. Has to be one of the best Fuchsias along with the triphylla group such as "Thalia"

Rhodochiton atrosanguineum. These flowers have lasted for months.

Brugmansia doesn't seem to mind it getting colder.

Lobelia vedrariensis "Tanya" seems to have liked all the wet we had this year.

Simbad. There is lots of fruit on the Fuchsia boliviana that I hope will give seeds, so if you or anyone else are interested let me know.

It is, of course, not hardy.
