    Hrumph!

Ok, I rose to the challenge and fell a tad short ( :heehee: - serves me right for thinking I could just "do it!" :nonofinger: ) but, here are my examples captured in the past hour or so (hastily, I might add, simply because I needed to honour my word  ... )

    CIMG0002 (480x640).jpg CIMG0007 (479x640).jpg CIMG0012 (479x640).jpg CIMG0014 (449x455).jpg

Mine are more reminiscent of Pat Butcher's gaudy earrings as opposed to "jewels", and that's fine: it is the colour and shiney bits which impress me the most!

Following Armandii and Mum's example, I went for a walk around the garden early today and here are some of my findings:

Great pics, Hsuh, it's amazing how much colour is out there in the garden and how we pass it without really seeing it.........and how a camera in the hand will make you look!!:snork:

On the subject of colour , my John Downie crab apple tree with the Cannas and Salvia is a riot of colour as the apples turn to a lovely rich red :dbgrtmb: The Cannas have never flowered as profusely as this year , and the crab apple has just become a real tree after 6 years of being a glorified stick ! The ,unplanned , combination of these two works really well.

Looks great Harry still so much colour!!!! :dbgrtmb:, do you make anything with the crab apples? I have a plum tree only young yet which was covered in plums but something mysteriously ate every one before I had a chance to pick them

HsuH love all the pics but the snowberry is really quite special.

Been such an odd season. Everything so late at the beginning of the season and due to a great summer somethings are now early . My Autumn Crocus are about a fortnight ahead of the norm yet my Dahlias are only really in full production now...nearly had a frost last night so better make the most of them ! Looking at all the lovely photos of berries on here our birds should have a good feed before winter.
