@Anthony Rogers Thanks, I would be inclined to think the same as they certainly do look like Coleus, but are actually Perilla (another relation of the mint family). Perilla comes in a variety of colours as well as green and purple. :blue thumb:

That's the one :yahoo:. Thanks :love30:

Galtonia candicans, Thank you @longk , I love this plant. It is a shame though that the snails and slugs love it as well, they destroyed most of the flower stems:wallbanging:

Shiney, your Perilla Magilla needs to be kept at 10c or above. I keep mine on the kitchen windowsill and conservatory (although it did slip to 8c a couple of nights). It will not tolerate lower temperatures without leaf drop or cold damage. I did leave some just rooted plants in the greenhouse last April but going down to 4/5c a few nights all but killed them off.
The Sunsatia Mango (Nemesia) will over winter at around 5c if kept on the dry side.

        Clerodenrum Bungei Pink Diamond.

Unnamed Canna, had it for years but it is a nice clear yellow with a little white.

Anyone else have Host Purple Heart? mine is only just coming into flower now as it did last year!

                        Hi JWK,
I'm jealous now because all mine have finished. I think they've been the star performers this year for me as they've loved the hot, dry summer we've had.

Stunning ain't they (if a little late this year)!
I'm going to plant them up with Eucomis and some choice Lily species next year.

A particlarly nice species by the look of it.

                          Is this hardy?

                                Salvia urica..................

The performance of this plant this year is a measure of the summer that we've had. Last year they grew to almost two metres from seed but this year they have struggled to 80cm in the same positions.

I suspect that the next one is also suffering from the lack of daylight warmth and the cool nights that we've had this season. It has the gorgeous name of Salvia SL411 and was grown from seed from Robin Middleton.................

As you can see from the photo below it has grown well and has all the makings of a nice annual or tender Salvia in a half decent summer.............
