We have had very little rain all summer but we got a wonderful few hours of drizzle that provided us with spectacular raindrops

Garden been full of butterfly's -bee's the past couple of weeks, keep having to duck for overzealous BF's in their pursuit of necter and rescue them from the spiders in the greenhouse. Some BF's on the Eupatorium - Buddelia, I seen mainly red admirals - peacocks and the odd specked wood? got loads of cabbage white caterpillars scoffing my nasturtiums as well.

This should be in a What's Looking Odd ' in September!!

Hosta Purple Heart is still in flower (it is always late) as the first Nerine Codora has come out!
They are covered in blackfly but as there are a few lacewings about I have left them .

I may be able to beat that - I'll "go public" next week when I'm certain but if I am correct it will be really odd for September!

Today I'm over the moon to show off Swainsona formosa............

Well, it is a strictly spring blooming reasonably hardy fairly exotic plant that pops a flower up from a bulb like organ. It bloomed in the spring and then the foliage came as it should. Now it should be dying back for the winter but I'm 90% certain that new flower buds have started emerging! Deffo puzzling

Free sunflower that has popped up. I am not really a fan of sunflowers but this one is quite pretty and popular with the Bees :)
