              Thank you. Fuchsias can be very temperamental, they don't like it very hot.
              My basket fuchsias didn't do very well, but the hardy ones did better.

                Argh that would explain it as in previous years it's been gorgeous. Although the very same type is flourishing in our local park around the corner. Could it be down to watering? I watered my garden every (hot) day during the summer whereas the one in the park won't have had any!!

                      I cut Amistad down to 2ft last autumn repotted it and overwintered in the greenhouse (I know it won't take the -7cs we have here sometimes) it is now the same size as yours @Verdun.

                      Cordylines Sunrise, Torbay Dazzler and a Waggy which was just over 2ft when planted 6 years ago.

                          Hiya Perki.....yes most salvias survive the winter outside here but I always take cuttings. Actually, the best plants....those in picture above....come from precious year's cuttings. :)
